Cleaning & Inspection![]() "We'll
Provide You With Copies Of Our Licenses
And Insurance Certificates!"
A 2-man Chimney Sweep Team will arrive in one of our company trucks as shown above. The first thing they'll do is identify themselves and hand you copies of our current licenses and insurance certificates. "A Traditional Wire Brushing Is Still The Only Way!" Our Sweep Team will clean from the floor of the firebox to the top of the chimney. This "Bottom to Top" method is the modern and recommended procedure for cleaning. After putting on a respirator, one of our Certified Chimney Sweeps does the cleaning from right inside the firebox. It's done with a properly sized wire brush attached to a 4 foot extension rod. The Sweep brushes the first 4 feet, attaches another rod, and continues up the chimney brushing the next 4 feet. This process continues until reaching the top, normally using between 5 and 7 rods. "We Guarantee Absolutely No Mess As A Result Of Our Service!" While the brushing is taking place, his Helper is right there passing equipment and running a "Tornado" vacuum specifically designed for chimney sweeps. During the brushing, heavier deposits fall into the floor of the firebox. Anything light enough to float, is sucked into the hose of the vacuum. By following this procedure, we can remove all brushable soot deposits and guarantee absolutely no mess, with your home remaining as clean as it was when we entered. "We Don't Stop There! You'll Get A Complete Cleaning, Top To Bottom!" After the flue is cleaned, we use hand brushes to clean the firebox walls, the smoke chamber, and smoke shelf. We also clean the area around the damper assembly and frame and make sure that it fully opens and closes for maximum efficiency. "We Put Up A Ladder, Do An Inspection, And Provide You With A Picture!" We do a complete inspection of each and every chimney system we service. To accomplish this, we put up a ladder, get up on the roof, and unless totally unnecessary, provide you with a picture of the top of your chimney. And if for some reason, we can't get on the roof the day of your service, we'll make a second trip, at no extra charge, to perform the complete inspection. "For Your Records, You'll Have A Written Record Of Service!" Last, and most important, you'll receive a written "Record Of Service" from a chimney professional that lets you know the overall status of your fireplace and chimney system. "This Is What You're Paying For! You Shouldn't Settle For Anything Less!" The average chimney extends somewhere between 20 to 28 feet in the air. It's just about impossible to see the top when standing on the ground, let alone make recommendations about the chimney's condition. Beware of companies that make recommendations without ever putting up a ladder! "If We Didn't Clean It, It's Not Priddy Clean!" |
